Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:29 pm (PST) Adrie, sorry dude but I think you were wrong about the goals return. Here is a link to the stats for you. http://www.4thegame.com/statistics/premiership/everton-fc/scorers/ Bare in mind that faddy gets to start less than AJ and Yak.....and he still matched AJ's total goals. Something I dont understand about us fans is that we always look at the negativity of a player rather than a larger perspective. We should ask questions on why he could perform for his country and not for us? There must be a reason and the reason is so obvious but yet we chosed to ignore it and consistently telling ourselves that he has had enough games to prove himself....sigh. ... Bren, yeah I agreed....if he is going, I would wish him the best!! But I still want him to score against us!! Wakakakakak...... --- In Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com, "adrie ahmad" <Adrieahmad@...> wrote: > > again i dont mind mc fadden leaving as it will be better for him. as a > player i like him, but the current everton squad can do without him. yes > both anichebe and vaughany are better strikers. Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:32 pm (PST) it's simple, actually we have five strikers, a team generally only needs three or four. unfortunately, he's deemed the surplus. Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:43 pm (PST) ok.. lets ave a look in total not just this season :) ... berapa game faddy main and whats his career goals total? lets compare that with the other 4. Get the percentage or goals per game. I wouldnt think that its more than ani let alone Aj and Yak. You may include his motherwell and scotland goals as well. AJ is one of the best and so is Yakubu. Faddy is not out and out striker lah.. we need ppl who will be banging them in week in week out.. if faddy stays, he's strike rate is gonna be overhauled by lescott! let him go.. he's a talent allright but just doesnt jive with the Everton of now. and yes lets see faddy score against us and everton put 4 past the brummies On 1/17/08, Prav Chandra < pravind76@gmail.com> wrote: > > it's simple, actually > we have five strikers, a team generally only needs three or four. > unfortunately, he's deemed the surplus. > > On 17/01/2008, Joseph < infiniteid@yahoo.com <infiniteid% 40yahoo.com>> > wrote: > > > > Adrie, sorry dude but I think you were wrong about the goals return. > > Here is a link to the stats for you. > > > > http://www.4thegame.com/statistics/premiership/everton-fc/scorers/ > > > > Bare in mind that faddy gets to start less than AJ and Yak.....and he > > still matched AJ's total goals. Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:51 pm (PST) Its sad really that our team is playing a system that limits itself. Take a look at our tactics... 1) Cahil cant play in a flat 4 midfield, he can only play behind a striker, which generally he is also a striker (supporting/ shadow) 2) If that is the case, then we will be playing a formation of 4-1-3-1-1, of which faddy will have no place to fit in. He will never be chosen in midfield of 3 (Arts, Ossie, Pienaar & Fernandes) or striker of 1 (Yak, AJ, Ani, Vaughn). 3) Which means he can only sit and wait for Cahill to be injured to take his "role" but then we have signed manny and he can fit into that position too. so can pienaar. 4) So, where is he going to fit in? Its really a wrong signing for the wrong club, faddy. He has been played out of position since he signed for us and moyes was never able to slot him in. 5) If such is the case, then I would concur that faddy would be one of moyes' failure transfer. Think again, if rooney has stayed on with us, where would he be fit in right now? Imagine if he is playing at cahill's position now, then cahill would be playing shit week in week out, isnt it? --- In Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com, "Prav Chandra" <pravind76@...> wrote: > > it's simple, actually > we have five strikers, a team generally only needs three or four. > unfortunately, he's deemed the surplus. > > On 17/01/2008, Joseph <infiniteid@...> wrote: > > > > Adrie, sorry dude but I think you were wrong about the goals return. > > Here is a link to the stats for you. > > > > http://www.4thegame.com/statistics/premiership/everton-fc/scorers/ > > > > Bare in mind that faddy gets to start less than AJ and Yak.....and he > > still matched AJ's total goals. Wed Jan 16, 2008 11:22 pm (PST) sorry bro, still no logic to that. you cant compare a player who has been played out of position to his prefered position. even when he was played out of position, he never gets to start more than 3 games. bare in mind that he was out injured for 1 whole season (was it last season or the season before it). yak, ani and vaughn were never played out of position. they were played as a striker whenever they are on the field. as for aj, he was deployed as the lone striker when we signed him but look at him now....moyes is happy to play him at right wing but again you cant compare aj with faddy as aj started his career at right wing for birmingham; before he played as striker at crystal palace. you spoke about the total of games faddy played compared to the rest (lets say irregardless if he played out of position)... ..i have the link for you but its only this season. http://www.4thegame.com/statistics/premiership/everton-fc/appearances/ stats says he gets to start only 5 games this season compared to yak's 17, aj's 9, anichebe's 7 and came off the bench 12 times. this season alone has been a massive difference, lets not compared the previous seasons, dude....... stats never lie.....but you said he will never bang in goals week in week out, then i put it to you when in his 5 games he started this season had him played as a striker? for scotland, he is among their top scorer and when he scored that goal against france, he was the lone striker playing upfront. i repeat, LONE STRIKER..... sigh....ok ok...i give up. argueing whether he is good enough for us is useless really since he is leaving anyway.....he will leave us with mix feelings....some will say he is an unshined talent just yet, some will say he is crap and some will say he is talent with no brain. whatever the arguement is, lets hope manny can produce the form he had when he was still with us..... nsno..... --- In Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com, "adrie ahmad" <Adrieahmad@...> wrote: > > ok.. lets ave a look in total not just this season :) > ... berapa game faddy main and whats his career goals total? > lets compare that with the other 4. Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:46 pm (PST) Birmingham land McFadden < http://www.thesoccerblog.org/premiership/birmingham-land-mcfadden/> Birmingham City's manager, Alex McLeish, has finally agreed a £5.5m fee with Everton for the Scotland forward James McFadden, who is expected at St Andrew's today to discuss personal terms. McLeish, who was impressed with McFadden during his time as Scotland's manager, is convinced the 24-year-old former Motherwell man can help save City's season and had previously unsuccessfully offered £2.5m and £3m. Birmingham will also sign the Hibernian full-back David Murphy for £1.5m, subject to him passing a medical today. The 23-year-old has agreed personal terms in a 3½-year deal. David Moyes has delayed the appointment of a new assistant at Everton until the end of the season. The manager has been without a right-hand man since Alan Irvine left to take charge at Preston during November. - 2b.

Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:56 am (PST) i'm going to get some stick here.. but i agree if he leaves. he'll just rot on the subs bench anyways his goal returns are poor for a striker, and he still dribbles too much although he is skillful but not more skillful than manny/arteta/ pienaar and cahill would make a better striker ANY day. so for me, its thanks for the memories faddy and all the best. altho he's the scottish rooney he's still no kevin sheedy. Wed Jan 16, 2008 8:55 am (PST) Oh I am pissed alright!! And I am pissed at Toffeeweb too....was recently in emailing war with that Michael Kenrick chap. What a load of shit this toffeeweb - full of boo-boys with brains of goldfish!!! I cant understand really. Yes it can be infuriating at times watching him play but what is he expected to do? Play excellently week in week out? Bare in mind he didnt even get the chance to play week in week out, never 3 games in a row since his arrival from Motherwell. And when he plays, he is being played out of position. And the funny thing is, at times when he is playing well, he will still be cursed. The problem with these "people" is that they only notice the times when faddy plays badly, i guess these "people" must be looking at women's tits when faddy is playing well. 90 minutes of play against Chelsea and was singled out by the commentators and media as the only player capable of breaking chelsea's defence - dribbling or passing. But yet in toffeeweb, the boo-boys were labelling him as the worst player? I think its really sad those people are calling themselves football fans. Somehow, they were criticising faddy's shot on goal that hit the post where he should have passed to cahill. They said if he had passed the ball to cahill, we would have 2 away goals in return. What crap bullshit!! Why didnt the goldfish boo-boys noticed him when he made great passes for lescott and neville but both sent in schoolboy crosses? Why didnt they notice faddy's freekick that led to yak's goal? Someone in toffeeweb even mentioned that faddy sucks at freekick and corners..... i think pienaar was even worst and wasnt even criticised!! And to be honest, Arteta's freekicks arent great either.....And last but not least, why is it that these "gobshite wannabe EFC boo-boys with the brain of goldfish" didnt realise or comment on the great pass faddy provided for lescott at the very last minute? Had lescott scored, we would have the 2 aways goals too!!! And why wasnt lescott criticised but faddy was?? What full of crap shit nonsense these people are!! So okay, now we sell faddy at 5mil. So who are we buying to replace him? Downing? THEY MUST BE JOKING!! Faddy's value isnt closed to 5mil. If they think faddy is shit, downing is worst!! And they were calling for Ashavin to be signed too....what bullshit!! Even if he signed, he wouldnt be able to play in europe for us and who are we compared to spurs or gunners that are lining up for him? And what proved that he could fit into the BPL? He would be crap too and the boo-boys would be giving him so much sticks that he would order Russia to send an A-Bomb directly to liverpool!! And i back kevin and hisham on their wish. I want faddy to play for birmingham and i want him to come back on April 12th scoring against us that led us missing out on europe (i am mean and i can be very evil) and F@#K(sorry but at least its censored) the EFC boo- boys...!!! Go running back to your mama and suck milk!! Damn i am pissed!!! --- In Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com, "adrie ahmad" <Adrieahmad@...> wrote: > > i'm going to get some stick here.. but i agree if he leaves. he'll just rot > on the subs bench anyways > his goal returns are poor for a striker, and he still dribbles too much > although he is skillful but not more skillful than manny/arteta/pienaar > and cahill would make a better striker ANY day. > so for me, its thanks for the memories faddy and all the best. altho he's > the scottish rooney he's still no kevin sheedy. > > On Jan 16, 2008 4:59 PM, Ric Wee <ricwee@...> wrote: > > > AVDM is apparently injured. Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:31 am (PST) In moyes we believe.. Faddy was spotted by Moyes, and he brought faddy in.. Faddy have glimpse of class but never really suited into the team. I reckon he'll definitely do better at brums given that he gets the run of footie week in week out.. All the best to faddy, and NO i dont wish that he would come back to GP and haunt us!! Please joseph, if its the toffeeweb boo boys ur targetting, target them. DONT TARGET the club. Many evertonians have went thru hardship and really dont deserve to be treated with a curse on the club! COYB!! [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] - 1.5.

Wed Jan 16, 2008 1:18 pm (PST) Ivan, am not targetting the club but the boo-boys...sorry if any of my comment were directed to the club. Maybe it was the last paragraph but then I would really love to see those boo-boys' comments after faddy had scored against us and maybe i would like to go a "little bit" extreme that had us crashed out of europe (although i admit that would be mean for me to be saying that).....but seriously, those boo- boys are really pissing me off....everytime I read their comments, I felt sad for faddy. I just dont think its fair for those people to be commenting that way. If he plays shit, yes i can understand but when he plays well, he gets it too.....I just dont see the logic in there. But then, after much thought, I dont think faddy is going anywhere. I agree with you on "In Moyes we trust"....he had never mentioned anything about selling faddy and was in the midst of offering him an improved contract. And with the ANC on going, I really dont think it would be wise for the gaffer to sell the poor chap. Lets wait and see. Wed Jan 16, 2008 5:19 pm (PST) It looks as though Faddy has played his last game for EFC.... from what i read in todays reports is that Birmingham is offering 5.5million for him.... and I can imagine what Alex Mcleish (is that how you spell his name) is telling Faddy: 1) You're coming to a club where you'll be guaranteed 1st team appearance 2) As your favourite position - striker 3) Everton boo-boys hate you, go look at the forums. They've been calling for useless and a waste of time. Here at Birmingham you have the power to prove them wrong. 4) You're playing with Garry O'Donnell - your good mate from Scotland - together you can terrorist the premiership 5) Lastly, look where you are in Everton's pecking order. They're putting those 2 kids ahead of you. Is that insult or what? Sigh.... I can only imagine what he is fed with.... he probably think he has to move to a new club who would accept and idolise him... he cant get that from Everton because of all the idiot supporters.. .. it's sad... really sad... cos I think he will be a legend one day.... Wed Jan 16, 2008 5:55 pm (PST) Joseph Exactly, I doubt Moyes will want to sell Faddy. I am sure he will not want to sell him unless its obsene money. And 5.5 is not big money. Its just normal ordinary money. And why would you sell a player that has the ability to change a game (like against Charlton A). ANyway, he offered Fad a new contract which Fad has yet to sign. So, i think its not Moyes or Everton but probably McLeish and possibly Faddy that may actually push a deal thru (if that happens in the end). So, I thnk the boo-boys are just trying to protect themselves (i.e. they don't want to feel the pain of losing Faddy like we did Rooney). WE all thought Rooney will stay and Moyes tried to keep him also but he pushed thru the transfer and it was a painful affair for all evertonians because we knew he was good.. if the boo-boys make fad out to be a loser, and then he goes, at least they will not feel the pain... anyway, as far as i know, Faddy is not leaving. He will be playing and fighting for a position in Everton.. he is tempted to go -- but i think he is a man and will stay and fight it out for a place and possibly get a Carling Cup winner's medal, a UEFA cup winner's medal and possibly a Premiership 2nd place medal.... all this season... -----Original Message----- From: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com [mailto: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of Joseph Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 5:19 AM To: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Malaysian_Toffees] Re: James McFadden Ivan, am not targetting the club but the boo-boys...sorry if any of my comment were directed to the club. Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:20 pm (PST) Dudes! no one stays forever. If someone has the potential then let the person explore it. Currently there many ex-toffee player sin the premiership and most are doing well. some even are key players to their teams. for lack of a less spectacular turnaround.. .take a look at davies. Played so-so for us but a regular team fixture for fulham now and even is a good playmaker and scorer. enuf said. Boo-boys are rightly named. If they said anything good then they wouldn't be boo-boys, would they? If the mix their comments then they'd be...US! we say great things one day then blast the S@#$ the next.hahaha. Joe..you been there too. Us complaining about moyes letting faddy go ..could be called being boo-boys too. (however the real guys are way worse than that). If faddy is going..let's just say "Good job Faddy, Thanks a million, you will always be a toffee to us." (pssst ..btw dont score against us. kah kah kah) --- Kevin Victor Chung <kevinvictor@shinyang.com.my> wrote: > It looks as though Faddy has played his last game > for EFC.... from what > i read in todays reports is that Birmingham is > offering 5.5million for > him.... and I can imagine what Alex Mcleish (is that > how you spell his > name) is telling Faddy: > > 1) You're coming to a club where you'll be > guaranteed 1st team appearance > 2) As your favourite position - striker > 3) Everton boo-boys hate you, go look at the forums. > They've been > calling for useless and a waste of time. Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:20 pm (PST) again i dont mind mc fadden leaving as it will be better for him. as a player i like him, but the current everton squad can do without him. yes both anichebe and vaughany are better strikers. And obviously AJ and the Yak too. Of the 5 strikers, again I must emphasize that his goal returns are the worst. If i was the manager of other clubs, i pun nak beli dia. To go past players now be it Chelsea or Arsenal, we;ve got Manny, who is technically as able or if not, better than Faddy. If i get rich I'll takeover Kelantan and buy Faddy and be the asian champions :) As for him being in Everton, I'd rather him leave than any of the other strikers. Oh If he does leave and score against us, we'll always get back and score a few more :) On Jan 17, 2008 10:01 AM, Thiran, Roshan [MEDAP] < rthiran1@medsg.jnj.com> wrote: > The only curse allowed is the curse on Fabregas -- for ruining Arteta > and our season (temporarily) ! > > -----Original Message----- > From: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com<Malaysian_Toffees%40yahoogroups.com>[mailto: > Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com <Malaysian_Toffees%40yahoogroups.com>]On > Behalf Of Ivan Jan > Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 2:32 AM > To: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com<Malaysian_Toffees%40yahoogroups.com> > Subject: Re: [Malaysian_Toffees] Re: James McFadden > > In moyes we believe.. > Faddy was spotted by Moyes, and he brought faddy in.. Tue Jan 15, 2008 11:15 pm (PST) It looks like it .. but i think it will be dependant on whether we get Sidwell as midfield cover.. if we get Sidwell, I think we would possibly let him go.. althought I really would like him to stay.. and 5 million is too little for a guy who scores wonder goals... i think we are better off selling him to Real Madrid for 20 million once he scores some super winner in the Carlingt Cup final... -----Original Message----- From: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com [mailto: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of Hisham Ramli Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 3:08 PM To: Malaysian_Toffees Subject: [Malaysian_Toffees] James McFadden Guys, Are we really selling McFadden to Birmingham for 5 Million??? Tue Jan 15, 2008 11:20 pm (PST) Here's the full article from The Guardian Stuart James Wednesday January 16, 2008 The Guardian James McFadden is expected to complete a £5m move from Everton to Birmingham City in time to feature against Chelsea at St Andrew's on Saturday. Alex McLeish has failed with two bids for the Scotland international - the most recent valuing the player at £4m - but sources indicate the Birmingham manager is ready to return with an improved offer that will see Everton receive £5m up front for the 24-year-old and another £500,000 in add-ons. Martin O'Neill will hold talks with Martin Laursen in the next 24 hours, with the Aston Villa manager confident that he can persuade the central defender to commit his long-term future to the club. Laursen's contract expires in the summer and, although Villa were initially slow to initiate discussions about a new deal, the club are now keen to retain the Denmark international who has been outstanding this season. Laursen is expected to be offered a new three-year contract. With Olof Mellberg likely to leave Villa Park on a free transfer in the summer, O'Neill wants to procure a right-back and Pascal Chimbonda's position at Tottenham is being monitored. The Irishman has identified another potential defensive recruit although reports linking the Steaua Bucharest player Dorin Goian with a £5m transfer to Villa are believed to be wide of the mark. With the prospect of Championship football looming large at Pride Park, Derby County are resigned to losing Giles Barnes although his valuation has plummeted. Derby were demanding £5m for the midfielder last year but he is expected to leave for around half that sum. West Ham are interested in the player although Aston Villa also watched the 19-year-old last weekend. Barnes will move in the summer if nothing can be agreed this month. -- Thanks & Regards Mohd Hisham Mohd Ramli Senior Executive-KL Branch Perinsuran (Brokar) Sdn Bhd Insurance Brokers & Consultants Tel : +603-7960 4921 Fax :+ 603-7960 4920 H/P : +6012-223 0298 H/P: +6012-887 1501 Disclaimer: Confidential and/or privileged information may be contained in this e-mail and any attachments transmitted with it ("message'). Tue Jan 15, 2008 11:35 pm (PST) This is a huge huge mistake man... I tell you... We cannot let him go... I think he gets criticised too much If we do sell him, I hope he comes back with his new team and scores a wonder goal to beat us one day... and hope that he goes on to do better things and all the Everton Boo-Boys would be kicking themselves saying "Damnit! Tue Jan 15, 2008 11:48 pm (PST) Well, its simple... no one wants to buy Andy Van... but everyone wants Faddy... well, i hate to see him go esp if the price is only 5 million.. if we got 10 mil for him, i would be satisfied as I think that would be a deal David Moyes couldn't resists.. but i think personally, if you ready other articles, faddy is pushing for the transfer himself la.. he already told friends taht he wants to play for McLeigh since they are scottish buddies..so you can see there may be other factors in play here and although Davie boy may not want to sell, he might have too (since McFad has yet to sign a contract extension!). .. so, who knows... if he goes, we must get Sidwell, that guy is phenomenal la.. -----Original Message----- From: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of Prav Chandra Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 3:36 PM To: Malaysian_Toffees@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [Malaysian_Toffees] James McFadden i think so too, Hisham and it'll be a wonder goal too what i don't get is AVDM is not playing, yet we haven't offloaded him.
